A great deal of meticulous work, skill, and knowledge is invested in lace-making, and the process fosters fine motor skills, precision, and perseverance. Even miniature artworks such as bobbin lace can serve as a means of expressing our emotions in times of isolation and changed circumstances.
Interest in bobbin lace-making has continued to grow over recent decades. Younger generations successfully connect tradition with contemporary approaches, and lace has also become an element of modern visual art practices.
