Architecture is adventure
A Children’s Architectural Guide to Plečnik House and Plečnik’s Ljubljana
Set off on an architectural adventure and discover Slovenia’s most famous architect, Jože Plečnik, and his iconic works. The exploratory journey begins at Plečnik House, where fun challenges await you both in the guide and in the permanent exhibition. Be sure to catch the guide, who takes visitors on a tour of the house every hour – a place where the master created many of his most important works, thanks to which our capital is also known as Plečnik’s Ljubljana.
After exploring the house, join Plečnik’s playful little dog Sivko, who will lead you along the architect’s paths through Ljubljana. Together you will explore the Križanke, the National and University Library (NUK), the Ljubljana Central Market, the Triple Bridge, and many other works by the architect. Along the way, you will learn about his unrealised projects and discover Plečnik not only as an architect, but also as a designer.
